We're on this journey, and it's our road. Sometimes, there are patches in other parts that are well-paved. It curves all over the place; you take an exit or a bridge that could be in complete disrepair. But that's life; It's not straight or perfect. There are times when you go entirely off the beaten path. But you can look at it as an experience, a challenge. You need not fear failing; you must learn because you'll do better the next time. That's part of leadership.
